A Blend of Synergy~ Chai ~Musing

Chai

So, I just received a blend of essential oils called ‘Chai” and it is wonderfully exotic upon first opening. For me it brings images to mind from far off places and times past, not just of the coffee, latte’, or teas whether iced/or hot that seems to be the new “it” thing now, but of the rhythm of life in the dusty streets somewhere in India. Where color and light dance at every glimpse of saris and cotton colored in the most vibrant of hues and wafting smoke of incense for devotion, or the street vendors selling herbs and spices and quick bites. To the noises of the city, be it festivals, or the hustle and bustle of millions of people in the streets down to the chants of the religious: this is a very relaxing blend for me. Not like a Lavender calming, where you’re calm in the moment, but a daydream calm, hazily transported somewhere else yet still in the here and now.

The color that comes to mind while thinking of the scent, would be a Pumpkin color, a orange~ish brown color. The scent is very inviting, homey, familiar yet restful, but with some kick to it. It is warm yet invigorating at the same time. The season would be Autumn. Where we start to wind down with the changing of the leaves, but are looking forward to spiced apple cider, roasting marshmallows over bonfires and making smores. It is the oil that I keep with me while driving, to take me on a journey while trying to deal with the madness of traffic.

It is a sweet spicy, yet a edge to it, but not overpowering. It is warm and inviting.

It is made up of a blend of cardamom seed, allspice, clove, cinnamon, black pepper, and other essential oils
